Night markets are one of the best ways to connect and shop local crafts which the Portland area has in abundance. Though I have enjoyed the Portland night market, this weekend I made a special trip to Night Market Vancouver.

Held in the newly remodeled Terminal 1 along the Vancouver waterfront, Night Market Vancouver is quaint, but full of energy a bursting with talented local artisans.
I love that this market is held primarily indoors, which makes for a more warm, dry and relaxed experience. Most vendor options were focused around jewelry, apparel, body products and of course food. I really enjoyed seeing a few unique vendors, like a man selling Hot wheels car collectibles and another selling hand craved cribbage boards!
NIGHT MARKET PRO TIP: GRAB A BUSINESS CARD
If you find a vendor you like don’t be afraid to grab a card. I find a lot of small vendors can do custom orders, have great online content and if I am not ready to make a purchase that night, I can see what other events they will be attending.

Much like the Portland Night Market, Night Market Vancouver is held indoors accept for a few select that are out front. This makes choosing an outfit more fun. I like to keep warm but I don’t want anything to cumbersome. I wanted to be comfortable and keep my hands free for purchases!

A knitted hat and scarf let me add a bit of color to a more toned down all black look and a cropped jean jacket gave me a way to accent my waist and add a third piece.

If you are interested in attending an upcoming night market,Ive made a quick list below you can check out! I highly recommend attending both. Its a great chance to get out with friends and experience what Portland/Vancouver have to offer!
